I will close this as solved even thought it is not, as it appears the developers are at the end of the road with this. So I think for the moment Cherrytree remains broken. I would rather invite to use the Gtkmm3 version with extra precaution if neither snap nor flatpak satisfy their needs" Their I tried but it was not straightforward because was forcing to downgrade packages versions and pin those versions, so I would not advise the average user to do that.
After trying to get the python-enchants dependencies to install as per our conversations it all failed miserably.
